Digital Marketing for Nonprofits

Your nonprofit’s digital work, done right — and done consistently.

SEO, website development, newsletters, and social media — the four things every nonprofit knows they should be doing, but rarely have the time, staff, or budget to do well. We handle all four, priced for mission budgets, with one point of contact.

THE PROBLEM

Every nonprofit knows they should do this. Almost none of them do it consistently.

You’ve got a mission, a team stretched thin, and a website that hasn’t been updated since the last capital campaign. Sound about right?

No one can find you online

People search for causes like yours every month. Without SEO, they’re landing on someone else’s website — and giving to someone else’s mission.

Your website is stuck in 2018

Slow on mobile. Donation page buried three clicks deep. Staff page lists board members who left two years ago. You know. You just don’t have the time.

The newsletter hasn’t gone out in six months

Drafted. Redrafted. Sent to the ED for review. Never sent. Meanwhile, your donor list is forgetting you exist.

Social posts are “whenever we remember”

Three posts in a week, then nothing for two months. The algorithm hates you for it, and your audience doesn’t know if you’re still operating.

No one on staff has the time

Your program people run programs. Your dev people raise money. Digital marketing keeps getting pushed to “when we hire someone” — which has been the plan for three years.

Agencies quote corporate prices

You’ve asked around. The numbers came back in five digits a month. That’s not a nonprofit budget — that’s a nonprofit’s entire communications department.

WHAT WE DO

Four services. One partner. Priced for nonprofits.

You can take any of these on their own, or bundle all four for a complete digital presence. Every service is built for the realities of nonprofit work — modest budgets, tight timelines, and content that has to move people, not just sell them something.

01 — SEO

Get found by people already searching for your cause.

Every month, thousands of people type things into Google that should land them on your site. “Youth mentoring programs in [city].” “How to donate canned goods.” “Best nonprofits for [cause].” If your site isn’t optimized, they’re not seeing you — they’re seeing whoever showed up on page one.

We treat SEO as a long, patient investment — not a set of tricks. Nonprofits have two structural advantages over commercial sites (domain authority and topical focus), and we build on both.

Pairs especially well with:
Google Ad Grants. The ads get you short-term traffic; SEO builds the long-term pipeline. Both running together is how nonprofits actually dominate their search category.

What’s included

  • Full technical audit of your current site
  • Keyword research built around donor and beneficiary intent
  • On-page optimization (titles, meta, headings, internal linking)
  • Local SEO setup for organizations with a physical footprint
  • Monthly content briefs or full blog writing
  • Monthly report — what moved, what’s next, in plain language

02 — WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

A website that works as hard as your programs do.

Your website is often the first real conversation a potential donor, volunteer, or partner has with your organization. If it’s slow, confusing, or looks neglected, that conversation ends before it starts.

We build on WordPress — the platform most nonprofits already use — which means you keep full ownership, avoid vendor lock-in, and can hand it off to anyone down the road. No proprietary platforms. No “we’re the only ones who can edit this.” Your site, your rules.

Every site we build has three non-negotiables: it loads fast, it works on a phone, and it makes donating obvious.

What we build

New websites
Full builds from a blank page — strategy, design, development, launch. Typically 6–10 weeks.
Redesigns
Your existing site, rebuilt and modernized. Faster, cleaner, optimized for donations. Shorter timeline.
Donation page optimization
Focused work on the pages that actually convert — your donate page, recurring giving flow, campaign landing pages.
Ongoing care
Updates, backups, security, plugin maintenance, and the small content changes that pile up if no one’s watching.

03 — NEWSLETTER WRITING

Newsletters that actually go out — and people actually open.

Email is still the highest-converting channel in fundraising. A donor who reads your newsletter is 3–5x more likely to give again than one who doesn’t. And yet — the newsletter is usually the first thing to get dropped when the team is busy.

We take it off your plate entirely. We interview your staff, pull stories from your programs, write in your voice, design in your brand, and send on your cadence. Your ED still gets final approval — but the blank page, the drafting, the formatting, and the send are ours.

Most of our nonprofit clients go from “quarterly when we remember” to monthly, on-time, every month — within 60 days.

How it works

1
Editorial planning
Quarterly calendar aligned with your program cycle, fundraising pushes, and key dates.
2
Story gathering
A 30-min monthly call with your team. We leave with enough material to write the whole issue.
3
Draft, review, approve
You get a clean draft a week before send. One round of edits included, always.
4
Send and report
We schedule, send, and follow up with a short report — opens, clicks, gifts, what to do next month.

04 — SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT & POSTING

Consistent social, without burning a staff member on it.

Social media is where prospective donors decide whether you’re real. Not whether you’re good — whether you’re still operating. A feed that hasn’t been touched in three months quietly kills trust. A feed with four solid posts a week builds it.

We focus on two to three platforms max — the ones where your audience actually is, not all of them. For most nonprofits that’s Instagram + LinkedIn, or Facebook + Instagram. We’d rather do three platforms well than six platforms badly.

You approve the calendar once a month. We handle everything after that.

What’s included each month

  • Content calendar built around your programs and campaigns
  • Copywriting in your organization’s voice
  • Custom graphics — Canva-based, in your brand, editable by your team
  • Scheduling and publishing across your chosen platforms
  • Optional community management (replying to comments and DMs)
  • Monthly performance snapshot — what worked, what to double down on

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Take one service, or all four. Your budget, your call.

Every service can be engaged on its own or bundled. Nonprofits that bundle get a better rate — because one partner across all four is faster, more coordinated, and less expensive to run than four separate vendors.

SINGLE SERVICE

Starting at
$750
per month

Pick any one — SEO, social, newsletter, or website care. Good for organizations with a specific gap to fill.

  • One service, done properly
  • Monthly reporting
  • Direct line to your account lead

  • Monthly strategy call with your ED
  • Priority turnaround on all requests

WHAT NONPROFITS TYPICALLY SEE

Realistic numbers. Over realistic timelines.

Anyone promising you a 400% lift in 30 days is selling something. Here’s what actually happens when a nonprofit runs these services consistently for 12 months.

2–4x

Organic traffic growth from SEO by month 12, for sites starting below 5K monthly visitors.

25–40%

Typical open rates on newsletters once voice and cadence are dialed in — well above the nonprofit average.

12 / mo

Social posts published monthly on average per platform. Consistent, not chaotic.

15–30%

Lift in donation page conversion rate after a focused donation-flow rebuild.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Small to mid-sized nonprofits that need digital done, not advised.

You’ve read the playbooks. You know what SEO is. You’ve heard enough about storytelling. What you don’t have is a person to sit down and do the work every week.

That’s us. We’re a micro-agency — small, senior, and focused. You won’t get handed off to a junior account manager. The person you meet on the call is the person writing your copy, tuning your SEO, and hitting “send” on your newsletter.

Operating budget between $500K and $10M
Big enough to invest in digital, small enough to feel every dollar.
An ED or comms lead who’ll approve work
One clear decision-maker. Not a committee. Nothing kills momentum faster than approval chains.
Comfortable with a 6–12 month horizon
Digital compounds. Real results show up around month four — then accelerate.
Looking for a one-month sprint to fix everything
We’re not that shop. If you need a two-week emergency push, we’ll recommend someone who does that well.

QUESTIONS FROM NONPROFIT LEADERS

The stuff people ask before signing on.

Can we just start with one service and add the others later?
Yes — most of our clients do exactly that. They start with whichever area hurts most (usually the newsletter, honestly), see that we actually deliver, and add a second service at month three or four. Nothing stops you from bundling later. The pricing just adjusts automatically.
We have a volunteer who handles our social media. Can you work alongside them?+
Absolutely, and frankly it often works better that way. Your volunteer has the institutional knowledge and the authentic voice; we bring the consistency, the calendar, and the design polish. We’ll scope a split where they contribute the ideas and approvals and we do the execution, or vice-versa.
How is this different from just hiring a part-time marketing person?+
A good part-time hire runs $3–5K/month, plus benefits, plus the 2-3 months it takes to onboard them, plus the risk that they leave. With us, you get a senior person across four disciplines starting the week you sign, with no benefits liability and no ramp-up. Different trade-offs — if you’ve got someone great on staff already, a hire might still be the right call. If you don’t, we’re often the better math.
Do you work with faith-based or politically-oriented nonprofits?+
Faith-based, yes — we’ve worked with several religious organizations and denominations. Politically-oriented: we take those case-by-case. We’re happy to work with advocacy organizations across the spectrum as long as the mission doesn’t conflict with basic human dignity. If in doubt, ask on the call.
What if we already have a Google Ad Grant? Does that change anything?+
It makes SEO and website work even more valuable. The Ad Grant sends people to your site; if the site is slow or the landing pages are weak, that traffic bounces. We often run SEO, Ad Grants, and donation-page optimization as a unit — that combination is where nonprofits see the biggest compounding returns. If you don’t have the Ad Grant yet, we can help with that separately.
How much input do we have on the writing?+
As much or as little as you want. Some clients approve every draft line by line. Others read the draft once, say “looks good,” and we send. We start with you reviewing everything, then shift the balance as trust builds and we nail your voice. You always have a veto.
What happens if we want to leave?+
After the minimum term, you give us 30 days’ notice and we part cleanly. You keep everything — the website (you always owned it), the content we wrote, the SEO work embedded in your site, the email templates, the brand graphics, all of it. No “you own the content but we own the strategy” nonsense. We hand over credentials, transfer accounts, and wish you well.
Can we see examples of your work with other nonprofits?+
Yes — we’ll walk you through anonymized examples on the intro call and, with the right client’s permission, connect you to a current client for a reference conversation. We’ve worked with organizations across education, the arts, faith communities, youth development, and health. Book the call and we’ll pull the closest match to your mission.

We measure success in gifts made, volunteers signed up, and newsletter subscribers added, not bounce rate on the homepage.
